File and printer sharing between XP and Vista.
Im trying to share files from Vista and XP, and share a printer connected to an XP computer over a wireless network. Normally I can find these things out, but im having a pretty tough time with this one. . . Any suggestions?
Right click on the printer control Panel – Printers and Faxes, and then choose to share … You may have problems with the security itself. On a peer-to-peer network (no domain controller) to create a user with the exact same name and password on both machines. For example you can set an administrator password to be the same on both machines. User = Admin Password = 1234 So when you try to connect them, they must pass approval.
