Kalives is located in the Apokoron region of the northwest coast of Crete, Greece and is approximately 21 kilometers from Hania. Most visitors know the main road through the village but the best way to see 'real life' is to park your car and walk through the many alley ways, where the majority of the paople live. Kalives has tourist shops, bakeries, clothing & shoe shops as well as car and bike rentals & internet cafes. There are also many places to eat, from fast foods to full restaurants amd more can be found down the long, beautiful beach along
with more hotels and rental rooms. A main post office, the municipal buildings and also banks can be found here.
