I try to install my printer, but I keep getting the message that "RPC Server" is not available.?
Can someone help me to get around this problem, please. It is a Lexmark printer, and I'm running windows XP. I'm in the UK. Also remember answers to simple English, no geek speak. (LOL).
More information is needed to answer correctly, but then mail me at djchunkyone@yahoo.com if the following does not work. Are you trying to connect wirelessly connection by the way? Ok – disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily and try again to install / connect to the printer. I know it will not help you today, but the Lexmark printers are crap – they cost a fortune for ink. You can buy a really good Canon printer 30 quid brand new and use copycat cartridges for about half a kilogram of ebay – I've done it for years. A wagon to a Lexmark must be 20 quid so you will quickly recover your investment … Just a thought.
