printer pages counter
anyone know where to get the software resets the page counter on HP printers?

I know there is software you can get, but have no idea about where to get it from, thanks

Sorry mate, it is an embedded chip. I had the same problem and it turned out to be cheaper to buy a new printer than send me one for a service. Just found this hope it helps (not sure on your model) Service mode functions NVRAM initialization / cold reset NVRAM initialize contains all default variables stored in NVRAM back to factory settings or to a default ROM value, depending on the variable. It also performs a system reset. Initialize NVRAM reset as follows:! all menu settings to factory settings! factory settings such as formatting plugin number, page counts, factory paper you want to perform NVRAM initialization 1 Turn the printer off. 2 Press and hold the Go button. 3 Turn the printer on and continue to keep the GO button for at least 20 seconds. During this process will GO button, attention and Ready LEDs each turn. 4 Release the GO button. 5 The printer LEDs will begin cycling. The NVRAM-unit process will run until the printer is ready mode. PJL software commands to set the following NVRAM variables: Factory standard printer paper and copier / scanner factory default paper size will be set to same value automatically. Factory Default Printer LPARM: PCL SYMSET Factory Default Bit OEM Factory Default PRINT PAGE COUNT SCAN Factory Default Factory Default page counter page counter COPY Standard quick copy paper size is also stored in scanner NVRAM but is modified only through the software, or when there is back to factory settings with a NVRAMINIT. Only quick copy image type and the contrast has a default value stored in NVRAM, they can only be changed through software or by NVRAMINIT, which returns them to a ROM default value. From HP12xx Service Manual p156. Regards
