Office printers?
I am configuring Windows 2003 server at our office. The printer is installed on the server. Why is it that some people office can print to the printer, but others may not, in the same domain? Print job is in the printer queue but just sits and errors / timeouts. But last week the same machine was able to print? I've re-installed the drivers on the machines, but still the same, it is an HP 5550 duplexer. I have a feeling that this is something to do with network settings, any network settings affect printing? The printer is installed on Windows 2K3 server. I have reinstalled this printer, but still no printing from affected machines? The machines can not print can ping the printer.
1. doulble check IP settings of the printer. 2. From the computer that does not print, see if you can ping the printer IP address. If you can ping it, then your problem is driver related. If not, then you have an IP issue. Re-check all your settings. Reboot the computer. Good Luck.
